Die "Organic Electronics Association" wurde im Dezember 2004 als internationale Informations- und Kommunikationsplattform der in dieser neuen Technologie tätigen Firmen und Institute gegründet. Über 120 Mitglieder aus Europa, den USA und Asien arbeiten in der OE-A zusammen, um den Aufbau einer leistungsfähigen Infrastruktur für die Produktion von organischer Elektronik zu fördern. OE-A vertritt die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette der organischen Elektronik, vom Materialhersteller über Anlagenbauer, Produzenten bis hin zum Anwender.
